Who is the doctor? What kind of training and experience does he have?

Dr Sibaya qualified for his MBChB in 2000 at the University of Transkei in Umtata (now WSU). He is a GP with extensive experience in Primary Health Care. Prior to opening Sibaya Sempilo in 2007, he was employed at the Frere Hospital, Victoria Hospital (Alice), Empilweni Gompo Health Centre , Prime Cure Medical Centre, Buffalo City Municipality Health , Sanca and Men’s Clinic International.

What Are your Hours?

We are open from 9 am until 5 pm weekdays.

On Saturdays from 9am to 1pm , STRICTLY BY APPOINTMENTS, as the doctor works out of town on certain weekends.

Closed on Sundays.

Do You Accept Medical Aid?

Yes we do accept most medical aids, although we might require co-payment for some schemes. Please confirm with our reception.

Do you take appointments?

We understand how stressful and inconveniencing it is to spend the whole day at the doctor’s. So yes we do cater for appointments to ensure you don’t spend more time than necessary in the queue when you are sick.

Can I get a False Sick Note?

As much as it is illegal to issue a false sick note, it undermines your relationship with the doctor concerned. A medical certificate is issued only if you are incapacitated due to illness.

Do you dispense medication on the premises?

Yes. We have a fully equipped dispensary, and there is a pharmacy in close proximity

Do you do Xrays and Sonar?

On the premises,we only do 'Baby' Sonar. There are, however, Radiology units that we can refer you to, a few blocks away from us.
